A message from our President...
Dear Doctors and Other Site Visitors,
Thank you for your interest in The Amalgam Collector™. Our product is a unique device that I developed based on a need to help preserve our fragile environment by eliminating the release of amalgam and other heavy metal particles into the standard sewer system. It was developed as a service to the dental industry of which I have been fortunate to be a part of for more than 35 years as a practicing dentist in Seattle, Washington.
My goal for the design of the apparatus has been to keep its operation as simple as possible while working to achieve the highest level of efficiency in the separation industry. The American Dental Association recently tested our unit and found it to test at 99.98% removal efficiency (abstract 633, Journal of Dental Research, 2001, 80). Flow rate: 1-liter per minute. Testing meets EPA standards: The CE18 and CE24 models have been tested multiple times and are certified that they meet the ISO 11143 requirements, as well as teh ANSI/ADA additional requirements. The separators are catergorized as "Type 2". Their technique for capturing the amalgam waste is entirely sedimentation. The R & D Separators capture and hold the wastewater (for at least 8 hours) and have a controlled release that can be accomplished with an automatic valve or with a manual valve.
An additional goal was to deliver The Amalgam Collector™ to you at a reasonable price in order to encourage maximal participation in protecting our environment. This amalgam separator requires minimal human input in its operation and, thus, serves as a reminder to those using it that it is we, ourselves, who must preserve our world.
Thank you for your interest/purchase and your efforts at environmental protection. Practice in confidence that you have taken a very positive step in this endeavor.
Best Regards,
Ross M. Fraker, DDS, PhD
